Hello and Welcome to Yorkdale Adult Learning Centre and Secondary School!

My name is Julie Ardell and I am the new Principal supporting this wonderful school community. I feel very fortunate to join a team of caring individuals who are here to support your academic and well-being needs. The last several years have been very challenging but it is our hope that 2022/2023 will bring a stronger sense of stability and positivity. Everyone here at Yorkdale is committed to providing a positive learning experience for you. Our school slogan is ‘We Believe in Your Success” and when you join us you will see why!

Our EdVance program serves students aged 18 to 20; our Adult and Specialty Programs serve students aged 21 plus. All pathways are offered (university, college, workplace, apprenticeship). We welcome students from all over the city including new Canadians and international students.

At Yorkdale we pride ourselves as a school that doesn’t just offer courses. Student well-being is at the forefront. This takes on so many forms which includes counselling, tutoring, nutrition programs, sports & clubs, assemblies, guest speakers, and field trips. Many of these bring the whole community together.
