Our School Model

Who We Are

We are a credit-granting high school for adults (21+) in the Toronto District School Board. We offer in-person classes.

Our Schedule

We have four 9-week semesters called "Quadmesters" each year: September, November, February, and April.
Classes are held in person, three 2-hour periods per day, from 8:25 am to 3:15 pm.
We do not offer summer school, night school, or hybrid (part-online, part-in-person) classes.

Diplomas and Pathways

We help students earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and prepare for the following pathways:

Workplace
College
University
Apprenticeship

Select Your Enrollment Path (Step-by-Step)

WHICH PATH IS RIGHT FOR ME?

**Are you a Visitor or here on a Work Permit?** Choose **Path 3**.
**Do you have College/University transcripts?** Choose **Path 4**.
**Do you have an Ontario High School transcript 5 years old or less, and did you finish the Assessment Test?** Choose **Path 2 (Registration)**.
**For all other applicants (new to Ontario, old transcripts, etc.):** Choose **Path 1 (Assessment)**. We do **not** accept the YMCA Assessment or the TDSB non-credit ESL transcripts.

Please choose carefully. Selecting the wrong path could mean your registration is delayed or is not accepted.

1. Need Assessment Test (New Students/Old Transcripts)

You are **new to Ontario education**, or your Ontario high school transcript is **more than 5 years old**. This path includes Protected Persons, Refugees, and Permanent Residents.

2. Ready to Register (Valid Transcript/Recent Assessment)

You have an Ontario high school transcript that is **5 years old or less** OR you were **assessed at Yorkdale less than a year ago**.

3. International Students (Visitor/Work Permit)

This is for applicants who are **NOT** Refugees, Protected Persons, Permanent Residents, or Canadian Citizens.

4. Post-Secondary Upgrading

You have transcripts from an Ontario College, Ontario University, or College ACE upgrading. **Private Career College transcripts are NOT accepted.**

THE NEXT REGISTRATION BEGINS ON JANUARY 12, 2025. Classes will begin on February 3, 2025.

IMPORTANT: We **do not** accept **IELTS** or **DUOLINGO** test scores for assessment or registration.
