PC Service Specialist Program

What You Will Learn in This Course:

This course helps students develop a practical understanding computer hardware, software operations, computer networks, and operating systems. Students will learn to use utility and application software and to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks following proper maintenance and repair procedures. The course will provide students with the ability to prepare for the A+ certification exam.

How This Course Will Be Taught:
This course will be taught through lectures and multimedia tools. A booklet will be provided for student use. Students will properly set up and configure computer systems; establish troubleshooting procedures; properly install and configure new software and upgrades; install and update virus-checking software, properly set up and configure a networked workstation.
Course Length.
Two hours a day, Monday to Friday, for 9 weeks.
Number of Credits.
The students get 1 credit after passing the course successfully.
Prerequisite.
No prerequisite.

However, this course will provide with the technical knowledge to be able to successfully enroll in and complete the Computer Engineering (computer networking) courses TGJ3E and TGJ4E.
