Making
Presentations
-
Make presentations in a variety of forms such as debates,
speeches, announcements, panel discussions, recitations,
interview, etc.(e.g., debate an issue, tell a story,
role-play a job interview, present a monologue, make
a multimedia presentation.)
-
Identify elements of style and organization in famous
speeches such as those by Cicero, Martin Luther King,
Jr., Marc Antony. Use effective language; vary volume,
pitch, inflection, to maintain interest. Ask questions
to check understanding; add humour to emphasize key
points; respond to the unexpected e.g., questions
during the presentation.
- Use
visual aids such as flip charts, posters, videos,
tables, charts, graphs to clarify meaning; recorded
music, computers slide presentation.
