Description
Civics is intended to help students to understand the
role of the citizen in a democratic society. It will
help you to understand how democracy works at the local,
national and global levels. In particular, the course
will focus on issues relevant to Canadian society.

Students will learn about democratic structures and current
issues through reading, writing, group discussions and
debates. The course includes guest speakers such as local
