What
You Will Learn:
This course provides students with the opportunity
to develop the information technology skills and knowledge
required in a business. Students will learn about:

information technology work environment
- Conduct
electronic research

Investigate electronic business
- Explore
occupations

Use industry standard software, e.g.. Microsoft Office
By
the end of the course, students will be able to:

Describe how IT skills and knowledge are used in the
workplace

Manage files, edit and format text, use styles and
templates, create columns and tables, generate outlines,
use drawing functions, create documents for use on
the internet, identify occupations and post secondary
programs that require IT skills

Format spreadsheets, use formulas, apply ranges, use
functions, create charts, save spreadsheets in HTML
format

Give PowerPoint presentation, animate and sound slides

Build a relational database, create tables, forms,
queries, reports; filter and analyze data

Use e-mail and create attachments; conduct e-mail
and electronic research
